Description
Interior and industrial designer Francesc Rifé designs the RAK desk – a set of wooden pieces meticulously joined together, creating a perfect harmony between volume and elegance with a refined aesthetic. In spite of its forceful volume, they achieve a perfect balance in the resulting pieces. The care in the design is also evident in the small details. The Rak top is divided into two planks with a four-millimeter separation between them, which lightens the whole. The crossbeams at the junction of the structure with the top and at the bottom add strength. The space between the vertical sides creates an interesting visual interplay at the intersection with the crossbeam.
Squares, rectangles and circles which are disposed and dimensioned in such a way that, in spite of its heavy volume, a perfect balance in the resulting pieces is achieved. The hard angles resulting from superposing and intersecting these parts, made of natural or stained ash wood, define this furniture collection.
The Rak collection features a diverse range of furniture typologies, including auxiliary, bedside, coffee, dining and bistro tables, benches, stools, a desk, and a console table. Multiple functions of a versatile design that adds unique character to any interior space.
