As an architect and one of the GATPAC founders, German Rodriguez Arias has been the introducer and father of Spanish rationalism.  Designer and interior architect, he materialised economy, efficiency, functionality and beauty concepts, maintained by Le Corbusier, on the 61 Via Augusta in Barcelona or on the building and cinema Astoria on Paris street, also in Barcelona, where the Bauhaus references are more direct. Exiled in Chile in 1939, he came back to Ibiza to spend the last years of his life.
